Lille Vildmose

In northern Jutland in the municipality of Aalborg, you will find the Lille Vildmose Center. Here visitors can gain insight into the history of the bog and the surrounding nature. There are experiences for the whole family who want a day in the nature. The Lille Vildmose Center has acquired a large solar cell system on the roof, but when you are a child, it can be difficult to spot the large solar cells. Therefore, Lille Vildmose Center wants the solar cells to come in "children's height". Here, EnergiLeg has collaborated with Lille Vildmose Center and Aalborg Municipality on making a manual SunTracker. The children can see and feel the effect of solar energy on this system.

The SunTracker requires only your arm force to rotate. By turning the SunTracker towards the sun, the water tank pumps water into the filling tube. The fountain pipe has pointers so that the children can test how much solar energy is needed, for example, to pump 1 liter of water? Or how the water tank is affected by the SunTracker being covered by a cloud?

Here, there is ample opportunity to try out the SunTracker and see how much energy it gives to turn the SunTracker towards the sun. In addition to this, there are some nice lamps that shows how much energy the SunTracker produces, and not only that, there is an associated compass that shows North, South, East and West, and target points. What happens, for example, if the SunTracker is moved 10 degrees?
